Business Name: White Oaks Service & Supply (Wossco)

Description:

Wossco Diesel Power was originally White Oaks Service and Supply Company of Oakville, Ontario. This engine building company was purchased in 1987 to compliment our heavy equipment sales and service business in Hamilton called Balogh Equipment Services that we had started in 1979 upon leaving the Caterpillar Dealership after having worked there for 10 years. White Oaks employed 28 people and rebuilt gasoline and diesel powertrains for the automotive, industrial, and steel mill industry.

The four acre property with 12,000 sq ft  building in the Industrial Park was purchased from the Hazzard family in 2002 and became known as Wossco Diesel Power henceforth. The premises were modernized and improved over the following years to include a new Rexon used oil burning furnace, a new fuel oil boiler system and new propane heaters, along with six new roll up doors and new windows. A 3600 square foot roof was replaced in 2016 in the lower office and shop section that features 3 automotive bays with a hoist , parts department and several offices and washrooms. Three large truck bays with 2 heavy automotive hoists, a 5 ton gantry crane and fully stocked tool crib utilize 5400 square feet of shop space. Cleaning equipment consists of a Hotsy industrial high temperature parts cleaner and a diesel heated gas powered Hotsy pressure washer,  industrial sandblasting machines and industrial vacuum and exhaust systems.

Shop equipment includes : the latest Bosch Scanner  Equipment for early and late model Vocational, Industrial, Highway, and Automotive vehicles; tire changing and balancing machines for pick up truck and large truck tires ( includes sale of tires); specialized hydraulic jacks for transmission, rearend, and  general lifting functions; Full air conditioning equipment including high pressure diagnostic tools for complete analysis and repair; diagnostic scanning systems for pressure and heat transfer in cooling systems and exhaust systems; equipment to test and repair modern After Diesel exhaust treatment systems; full automated equipment for lube oil and maintenance lubricants as required for vehicle servicing; welding equipment for Steel and Aluminum structural repairs and body work.

The company is a licensed M.O.T. Vehicle Inspection Station for Annual Inspections and Safety Inspections for Vehicle Transfers. We employ six people from the local communities, five are mechanics licensed and registered in the Auto Tech, Truck and Coach Tech, and Heavy Equipment Mechanic Trades. These techs are also trained on modern Hi-Rail systems for the railway industry. The company offers in the field emergency repairs with a well equipped service vehicle on standby.
