The Municipality of McDougall provides limited recreational programming. Our programming centres around our summer swim program. We offer certified Red Cross Swim Kids in all levels and Lifesaving Society Bronze Levels.
All classes and swim levels are subject to registration and may or may not be offered dependant on demand. All Red Cross levels are 25 minutes lessons. Lifesaving Society Bronze levels are 45-55 minute lessons.
The Swim Program
ALL SWIMMING LESSONS WILL BE HELD AT NOBEL BEACH
NOBEL BEACH is now the new home for ALL swim lessons, day and evening program. McDougall Parks and Recreation has concluded the new beach house at Nobel Beach offers flush toilets, running water, four individual change rooms; larger parking area; more sun exposure; more protection during inclement weather; better staff facilities and an new large playground. Further, by consolidating all swim lessons at one beach, allows for efficiency of not duplicating equipment such as training docks, ancillary equipment and teaching aids. Additional, since there is no boat launch traversing through the teaching and beach area, the patrons and staff will be in a safer environment.
