How to pay your Tax Bills and Utility Bills
Pre-Authorized Payment Program
The Pre-Authorized Payment Program allows your financial institution to automatically withdraw property tax payments from your account and send them directly to the Municipality of McDougall on your behalf. We offer two options:
- Monthly Program: This is an 11-month plan (with no withdrawal in December).
- Installment Program: Withdrawals are made on the due dates listed on your tax bill.
To enroll, please complete the Pre-Authorized Tax Payment Form.
A similar Pre-Authorized Payment Program is available for utility payments. Please complete the Pre-Authorized Utility Payment Form.
Credit Card, PayPal, or Interac E-Transfer
We do not accept credit card payments in the office or over the phone. However, you can pay your property taxes or utilities online through PaySimply, a secure third-party payment provider. PaySimply accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex), PayPal, or Interac E-Transfer. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing. Be aware that PaySimply charges a convenience fee to cover processing costs.
