Voters’ List
Notice is hereby given that in compliance with the Municipal Elections Act, lists of all persons entitled to vote in the forthcoming McDougall Municipal Election will be available on September 1, 2026 at the Municipality of McDougall Office, 5 Barager Boulevard, McDougall.
Electors should contact the Municipal Office (705) 342-5252 or attend in person to examine the Voters' List to ensure that their names and relevant information are correctly shown. Application may be made by any person for the purpose of making additions or corrections to, or deletions from the Voters' List to the Municipal Clerk. The Revision Period will commence at the opening of business on Monday, September 1, 2026 and continue during regular office hours up to and including October 23, 2026. And from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. October 26, 2026.

Qualifications of Electors
A person is entitled to be an elector at an election held in a local municipality if, on voting day (October 26, 2026), he or she,
- resides in the local municipality or is the owner or tenant of land there, or is the spouse of such owner or tenant;
- is a Canadian citizen;
- is at least 18 years old; and
- is not prohibited from voting under any law.
Persons prohibited from voting
The following are prohibited from voting:
- A person who is serving a sentence of imprisonment in a penal or correctional institution.
- A corporation.
- A person acting as executor or trustee or in any other representative capacity.
- A person who is convicted of the corrupt practice described in subsection 90 (3) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, if voting day in the current election is less than five years after voting day in the election in respect of which he or she was convicted.
Revisions to the Voters’ List will take place between September 1, 2026, and October 23, 2026, and to the close of Voting Day at 8:00 p.m. on October 26, 2026.
Voting in Multiple Municipal Elections
If you or your spouse own or rent property in a municipality other than your primary residence, you may be eligible to vote in more than one municipal election.
Students and Voter Registration
Students attending school away from home may be eligible to vote in multiple municipalities. If a student’s permanent residence and temporary student home are in different municipalities or a Territory Without Municipal Organization area, they can update or add their "home address" as their permanent family residence and list their student home as an additional property they, or their spouse, own or rent.
